Incubator
A platform supporting creation
from conception to birth. bring your fetus — I’ll help it be born.
The Incubator is a platform supporting creation. It offers accompaniment to creative projects in any format and language: artistic creations, personal or professional projects. From the most embryonic idea to the piece that resists being born.
I don’t interfere in the subjective decisions about your project. The content and form you choose will not be questioned, but strengthened. The Incubator helps you find and improve your self-direction, and supports you through every process of the creative journey.
origins
In childhood we are all expert creators, capable of bringing into reality any dream that arises in our imagination. We call it playing. At some point, out of our own needs or external imposition, we leave that childhood behind. We are born creators and we create through play — and in leaving childhood behind we sometimes forget that the rules of the game are a training for life.
On my wanderings I have let myself be guided by my creative impulses: games, travels, scenic pieces, festivals, relationships, family, future. All creations are governed by the same principles and feed on the same nutrients, regardless of their character. Through working on stage — as a solitary creator, director and pedagogue — I have learned to untangle the web of mechanisms that nourish and develop the creative process. For years I have helped others enhance and materialize their creativity.
reasons to incubate
creative block
creative block
You’ve become blocked in a creation, whatever stage you’re at. The Incubator helps you identify the source of the block and find the way back to creative flow.
scattered energy
scattered energy
You need support to focus your creative energy. You have drive and desire, but can’t channel them in a concrete, productive direction.
confusion
confusion
You’ve sunk into an ocean of confusion and can’t give shape to your desires. Ideas exist but find no form, or forms exist but find no content.
internal conflict
internal conflict
You’ve fallen into conflict between the different parts of the creation. Decisions contradict each other, the elements don’t dialogue, the piece can’t find its internal coherence.
loss of confidence
loss of confidence
You’ve lost confidence in your work. Doubt has set in and paralyzes more than it mobilizes. You need an outside eye to help you recover trust in what you’re doing.
what I offer you
creative potential
creative potential
Develop your creative potential from within, without imposing external models. The work always starts from what is already in you.
creative cycle
creative cycle
Understand the phases of the creative cycle and make the most of its peaks and valleys. Each moment of the process has its own logic and its own tools.
dialogue with the creation
dialogue with the creation
Learn to communicate with your creation according to the developmental stage it is in. A piece in gestation does not speak the same language as a piece under construction.
self-direction
self-direction
Learn methods to direct yourself. The goal is not dependence but autonomy: that you can continue the process with your own tools.
focus
focus
Focus your energy in service of your creation. Distinguish the essential from the incidental and work with precision on what really matters.
making it concrete
making it concrete
Turn the creative cloud into executable content. Transform vision into concrete steps, into decisions, into matter.
technical gaps
technical gaps
Find the technical gaps you need to develop. Clearly identify which tools you lack and chart a path to acquire them.
the four work spaces
Depending on the character of your creation, our work will adapt to the spaces it needs in each phase.
table
ideate · plan · project
table
Whether in an office, a café or out in nature. The work table is a metaphorical space where the creative cloud becomes ideas and ideas become plans.
laboratory
experiment · test · fail
laboratory
Experiment with every aspect of the work developed at the table — on a practical, sensory and temporal level. The laboratory is a safe, controlled environment where we set our ideas in motion.
field
contrast · adapt · adjust
field
Experiments and adaptations in the real world. Everything developed in the laboratory needs to be tested in an environment as close as possible to the one it will face in its execution.
execution
premiere · open · be born
execution
The debut of the final project. Whether a premiere or the opening of a restaurant. The first step of the new creature.
formats
in group
in group
The group can be a great ally: you discover other people with the same problems as you. Watching their evolution helps you face your own process more lightly. You share efforts, fears, and you feel held by the group’s gaze. The doubt or congestion of your companion will be yours in three weeks’ time, because their release feeds yours. In this state creativity doesn’t add — it multiplies.
individual
individual
Exclusive accompaniment focused on your specific case, with a high level of intimacy and depth. I help you understand your creation and yourself as a creator. We analyze in depth the barriers your creativity faces and create specific strategies to overcome them.
Both paths have great benefits. which is yours?
essential
fetus. You need to bring a fetus to work with. It may be in its early stages or already quite developed; it may be a draft you’re not even clear about, or a project that resists you. All creatures are welcome: performing arts, fine arts, business or cultural projects, personal projects. All languages share the same creative challenges, and in the Incubator we will work on them with care, going through every aspect that creature needs in order to come out into the world.
commitment. Through your commitment you materialize your trust in the project. Creative processes are not linear and are full of ups and downs. They are like plants that need time and care to sprout. Depending on your personal characteristics and those of your creation, we will set a minimum work period and the frequency of our meetings.
