this edition
Sueños returns to the stage where it premiered. It comes back renewed after a year at rest, with the changes that reveal how much the piece has matured in that time.
A single show, as the first time.
the piece
Sueños is a danced theatre that puts into dialogue two languages that seem incompatible: tango —all skin, speed and the vertigo of the couple— and butoh, born of pain and silence, generating movement from the unconscious. The piece tells a love triangle where the «fauns» give body to the emotions the characters cannot express. A white, tender shadow performing the breath and the emotion that precedes the gesture.
Matilde Javier Ciria introduces a mysterious figure, like a white, tender shadow, performing the breath and the emotion that precedes the gesture.
