«God is dead. THE MACHINE is born. And the machine is us operating it — or it operating us.»
Matilde J Ciria
CONCEPT
Arquitectos beta2 is a scenic research into a double madness: the individual and the social. And into the role of technology in both.
Technological complexity grows exponentially, so that no human can grasp more than a small fragment of the total knowledge. The difference between technology and magic shrinks by leaps and bounds. The technological object is venerated in a society lacking coherence. Among us grows the madness of the craving for technology, which we obey with increasing vehemence.
This piece is an inevitable evolution combining the work of iMythos and Azatoth. Here the audience plays an active role in the development of the work through control of the scenic universe — lighting and music. No score is possible: each performance is radically different because each audience is different, because the decisions made in real time can never be repeated.
Part of the Ciclo Danza Cruda.
GUEST ARTISTS
The audience as co-creator: attendees directly control the mental and emotional universe of the character on stage through sound and light, operated with several tablets at their disposal. They cease to be witnesses and become architects of the experience. They are judges and executioners and at the same time victims of a macabre game laid out by technology.

SYNOPSIS
«I am your dream, your future, your life, your death. My word is wonder. You obey my command, for I am the Order. I am morality and virtue. I am the voice of desire that lays you low.»
— THE MACHINE
A body on stage disintegrates before the audience’s eyes. Attendees decide — by means of technological devices — which emotional states it passes through, which sounds inhabit it, which light defines it. Until they take total control over its life and decompose its mind.
Are we really gods of technology or its most devoted slaves?
ON IMPROVISATION
This piece does not exist before it begins. There is no score, no rehearsal, no possible repetition. What happens on stage is born from the real encounter between the artists in that specific space and moment — from mutual listening, from shared risk, from the presence of an audience that is also part of what happens. Each performance is a unique event that cannot be reproduced. What you see tonight has not existed before and will not exist afterward.
