what Room Service is
Room Service is a scenic project by Gregor Weber, in Cologne. It began in 2004 at the Umspannwerk and has taken over the Kunsthaus Rhenania since 2006. Each edition fills the building with ten or twelve simultaneous eight-minute performances, each in a different room. The audience moves through the building choosing which doors to open, and each piece is performed forty-eight times over the course of the event.
In recent editions I direct the ni.butoh workshop held before the event, and those who take it join the piece as performers, set designers or costume makers.
who can take part
This year, anyone who has taken a workshop with me before and is also in the November workshop. It is not an open door for beginners: previous ground is required. The final decision on who goes on stage is made before the workshop ends.
rehearsals
From 9 to 11 November, afternoon into evening. They are compulsory for anyone going on stage.

Three editions, three pieces. In bzzzzzzzzzzzz, last year’s piece, twelve bodies from the previous workshop went on stage.
