Adamastor is a butoh solo about the waters that are not seen. Those underneath, those that sustain, those that drown. A single body that descends toward where myth lives before it has a name.

The starting point is pre-Roman Iberian mythology: Airón, god of the deep waters, giver and taker of life, whose name persists in enclaves of the peninsula as the memory of something that did not entirely leave. But Adamastor does not illustrate a myth — it inhabits it. The body becomes a territory where the force of water is inscribed without metaphor: the wave, the current, the unfathomable depth, the slippery animal that can heal or devastate.
