AULA NOSTRA
Aula Nostra —innate butoh training— was founded in 2019 by Matilde J. Ciria and Jonathan Martineau in Madrid. The training arises from the confluence of Matilde’s ni.butoh and Jonathan’s Art of Being Born, creating a unique methodology that seeks to become dance through thought in movement.
The pieces of Aula Nostra are born from the training process: they are not the result of a commission or an external production, but the distillation of months of collective research. What you see is what happens when a group of people learn to dance together without yet knowing where they are going.

A tale to end all tales.
Snow White, weary of fables, stuffs the Minotaur into ontological guts. Soulless staplers rain down like biblical punishments. The grandmother conjugates defeat while Goliath yawns. All lucidity is archaeology.
Sanity, a whispering trilobite, is kept at bay.
Next station, silence: the only guest who arrives when everyone has left.

Over fallen petals, the sunflowers bow their golden heads, answering a silent call. In this ceremony, innocence and nature witness a murmur of shadows tangling in the air, while life, fragile and faint, slips between the steps.
